MOTHER OF JAILED HUNGER STRIKER DELIVERS OFFICIAL COMPLAINT – PHOTOS

Varduhie Shapaghatyan, the mother of Aram Mughalyan, the young man
who has been in pre-trial detention for six months on charges of
hooliganism, showed up today at the Prosecutor General’s Office to
deliver an official complaint about the mistreatment of her son.
Aram Mughalyan, charged with burning a bale of hay, had declared a
hunger and water strike to protest violations made in the criminal
case against him and his friends.
Supporters of Mughalyan and civil society activists who are convinced
that Mughalyan was wrongly arrested and charged gathered outside
the Prosecutor’s Office as well, surrounded by a sea of reporters
and police.
