ARMENIA REPORTS DROP IN EGG PRODUCTION

ARMENIA – Armenia produced a total of 45.7 million eggs in August
2013. According to the National Statistical Service, this number is
3.6 per cent less compared to the same period last year.
According to News.am, between August and September 2013, egg prices
rose in the country, which was a main driver in the reduction in
egg production.
Thus, about 16 eggs per month are produced in Armenia per capita.
Doctors advise adults to eat 21 to 22 eggs per month.
