FOUR FOREIGNERS EXCLUDED FROM AZERBAIJANI LIST OF “PERSONA NON GRATA”

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has decided to exclude four foreign
nationals, previously included in its list of “persona non grata”
for the illegal visit to the Armenian-occupied territory of Azerbaijan.

The foreigners excluded from the list of “persona non grata” are
a member of the Russian State Duma Aleksey Mitrofanov, head of the
Moscow office of ‘Voice of America’ James Brook, and Johns Hopkins
University students, Ivan Benovich and Nichola Vondra.

The names of these individuals were excluded from the list after
their appeal to the Azerbaijani government, in which they requested
their names to be excluded from this list. They regretted about their
visits and stressed that they recognize the territorial integrity
of Azerbaijan.

As a rule, the appeals asking to cancel this decision indicate that
these persons were taken to the occupied territory by deception.

Unauthorized visits to Nagorno-Karabakh and other regions of Azerbaijan
occupied by Armenia are deemed illegal and individuals paying such
visits are included in the “black list” of the Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry released a list of 335 people those
declared persona non grata over illegal visits to the Armenian-occupied
territories.

Azerbaijan has repeatedly warned foreign officials and diplomats
over visits to the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia,
saying this contradicts international law. The Foreign Ministry
has stated that such visits, paid without prior notification of the
relevant authorities of Azerbaijan, are illegal and damaging to the
settlement process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Armenia occupied over 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s internationally
recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent
regions, after laying territorial claims against its South Caucasus
neighbor that caused a brutal war in the early 1990s. Long-standing
efforts by US, Russian and French mediators have been largely fruitless
so far.

The UN Security Council has passed four resolutions on Armenian
withdrawal from the Azerbaijani territory, but they have not been
enforced to this day.

CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY SPEAKER REFUSES TO VISIT AZERBAIJAN’S OCCUPIED TERRITORIES

Trend, Azerbaijan
Sept 23 2013

Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 23 / Trend, S. Agayeva /

California State Assembly Speaker John Perez has refused to visit
the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, an informed source told
Trend today.

This testifies to the fact that officials of foreign countries yield
to no Armenian persuasion and do not want to be included on the list
of undesirable individuals of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Visiting Nagorno-Karabakh and other Azerbaijani regions occupied
by Armenia uncoordinated with Azerbaijan is considered illegal and
individuals who have paid such visits are included on a list of
undesirables of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, four foreign citizens who have been included in the list
of undesirables of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for illegal visiting
the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia, are excluded from it.

In their appeals, they stressed that they were fraudulently taken to
the occupied territories.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988
when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 per cent of Azerbaijan since
1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding
districts.

Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The
co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are
currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council’s four
resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the
surrounding regions.

“The Foreign Ministry has already given the relevant instructions to
the Azerbaijani embassy in Canada,” he said.

Information about the visit of a Canadian MP to Azerbaijan’s occupied
territories was spread by an Armenian Media outlet today.

Ministry for their illegal trip to the Azerbaijani territories occupied

They pointed out in their appeals that they were brought to
Azerbaijan’s occupied territories by fraud.

Azerbaijani embassy in Canada is scrutinizing the information about
an illegal visit by the county’s MP Jim Karygiannis to the separatist
Nagorno-Karabakh region, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman
Abdullayev has said.

Abdullayev told a press conference that the Foreign Ministry has
already issued relevant instructions to the Azerbaijani embassy.

The reports about the Canadian MP’s visit to Azerbaijan’s occupied
territories were circulated by Armenian media on September 23.

Earlier, four foreign citizens blacklisted by Azerbaijan’s Foreign
Ministry for illegally visiting the Azerbaijani territories occupied
by Armenia were excluded from the list. They pointed out in their
appeals to Baku that they had been taken to Azerbaijan’s occupied
territories by deception.

Besides, California State Assembly Speaker John Perez has refused to
visit the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, an informed source told
Trend news agency on September 23.

“This indicates that officials of foreign countries no longer yield
to persuasion of the Armenians and do not want to be included in the
list of “persona non grata” of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry who
visited the occupied territories,” the source said.

Recently, Armenian media reported that a delegation of Californian
officials and representatives from the Armenian National Committee
of America (ANCA) are expected to visit Nagorno-Karabakh.

Unauthorized visits to Nagorno-Karabakh and other regions of Azerbaijan
occupied by Armenia are deemed illegal and individuals paying such
visits are included in the “black list” of the Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry released a list of 335 people declared
persona non grata over illegal visits to the Armenian-occupied
territories.

Azerbaijan has repeatedly warned foreign officials and diplomats over
visits to its territories occupied by Armenia, saying this contradicts
international law. The Foreign Ministry has stated that such visits,
paid without prior notification of the relevant authorities of
Azerbaijan, are illegal and damaging to the settlement process on
the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

A precarious cease-fire has been in place between Azerbaijan and
Armenia since a lengthy war in the early 1990s that displaced over
a million Azerbaijanis. Armenian armed forces have occupied over
20 percent of Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized territory,
including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

The UN Security Council has adopted four resolutions on Armenian
withdrawal from the Azerbaijani territory, but they have not been
enforced to this day.

Armenian Cheese Banned In USA Was Found Safe In Armenia

ARMENIAN CHEESE BANNED IN USA WAS FOUND SAFE IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, September 24. / ARKA /. Armenia’s State Food Safety Service,
an affiliation of the Ministry of Agriculture, said it had certified a
batch of Armenian cheese Lori, produced by a Gyumri-based company AMM
as safe before it was shipped to USA and banned there for consumption.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the Armenian cheese
appeared to have been contaminated. On September 13, the FDA published
a list of cheeses imported from 28 countries which a FDA examination
found to have microbiological contamination. It said the Armenian
Lori cheese contained E.Coli (Typical).

“The entire batch of 1000 kg of the cheese (N69-A), produced 15.05.2013
with a shelf life of 6 months before being exported to USA, the batch
was found to be safe and was given a certificate on June 18 based on
laboratory examination,” the Armenian agency said.

It said the list of cheese found to be unsafe was published
September 13 and therefore the Armenian State Food Safety Service
is not responsible for its transportation and storage. The US
FDA had banned earlier the import of some Armenian soft drinks
and sweets because they contained coloring agents, which are
prohibited by U.S. law, but are legal in Armenia. -0- – See more at:

L’appel Du Haut Clerge Pour Une Reforme De L’Eglise Armenienne

L’APPEL DU HAUT CLERGE POUR UNE REFORME DE L’EGLISE ARMENIENNE

Religion
