ARMENIA’S REGIONS DISTRIBUTED AMONG SENIOR OFFICIALS? – NEWSPAPER

YEREVAN. – The regions of Armenia are distributed among the senior
officials of the country, Zhamanak daily reports.
“The officials must visit these regions, get familiar on location
especially with the villagers” problems and coordinate them.
“On August 2, for example, [Deputy PM and Territorial Administration
Minister] Armen Gevorgyan paid a visit to [several village] communities
of Lori Region.
“[But] an eyewitness told Zhamanak that, several days before his visit,
news was already circulating in the villages that the PM was coming.
“So few officials visit these remote villages that ‘cleaning’ had
started in the villages with great fanfare, days before the deputy
PM’s visit,” Zhamanak writes.
