PERSECUTIONS HAD PRECEDED MURADYAN’S MURDER
Member of Supreme Body of ARF Dashnaktsutyun said today that
they want the real perpetrators of Hrach Muradyan’s murder to be
revealed. “We don’t want innocent people to be punished. After all
the real disclosure of this case may be a vote of confidence for our
system of justice”, said Aghvan Vardanyan.
Vardanyan announced the launch of “Hrach Muradyan: Demand of Justice”
civil movement. He underlined that it is not a party movement,
but civil.
Lawyer of the victim Melanya Arustamyan, added that his murder was
the last point of all persecutions and threats that had preceded
Muradyan’s death for years.
She said that one year ago Hrach Muradyan’s nephew was kidnapped and
when Muradyan went to free him, the kidnappers shot at his car. This
case has been dismissed, but even if it wasn’t the investigation was
going to prove Hrach Muradyan himself was to blame.
Asked whether it is not known who shot at Muradyan’s car, the lawyer
said it is confidential information, but it could help to reveal
his murder.
