“ARMENIA – INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS” NEGOTIATING WITH AIR COMPANIES TO INCREASE FLIGHT FREQUENCY

YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. Armenia – International Airports company that
operates Zvartnots airport in Yerevan is negotiating with different
air companies to increase frequency of flights, the company’s press
office reported.

The company’s press report expresses concerns over the situation.

Despite the losses suffered together with other involved parties,
the company makes continuos efforts to fill in the gaps in the market,
says the report.

Armavia Armenian air company has announced its decision to stop flying
as from April 1 and to start a bankruptcy process.

The press office of Armenia – International Airports also said that
an agreement was reached with the Austrian Airlines, Czech Airlines
and Alitalia to increase flight frequency: from now on, the first two
air companies will fly seven days per week and Alitalia will operate
three flights weekly.

Flights by Polish LOT will be reopened as from June (five flights
per week).

Negotiations are under way with some other air companies.

The company also expects to increase flights operated by Fly Dubai
air company to daily.

Armenia – International Airports closed joint stock company is
operating Zvartnots and Shirak airports under a concession agreement
signed with the Armenian government in 2001 for 30 years.

The company is owned by Argentinean “American International Airports”
company belonging to Argentinean of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian.
