Judges prefer financial resources, they did not declare any expensive items

Regardless the age and sex the judges in Armenia have one unique
common feature, they do not have expensive items and bonds, also, with
tiny exceptions, real and movable estate. Of course, one can assume
that the apartments and houses they live in are officially registered
on other members of their families. However, judging from the
declarations presented to the Ethics Committee of Officials in 2011,
it is not the case: the people related to our judges, i.e. couples,
parents and children, also did not declare any real estate.
Nevertheless, almost all these officials declared substantial
financial resources and income.
However, the examination of the declared income raises questions. For
instance, the President of Court of General Jurisdiction of Davtashen
administrative district of Yerevan Vardan Abrahamyan, in the
circumstances of absence of any real estate, received AMD 9 million
during one year as a rental fee. He declared AMD 20 million 873
thousand 499 annual income, out of which AMD 8 million 873 thousand
499 is the salary, AMD 9 million the rental fee and AMD 3 million the
income from the alienation of the property.
The income of the President of the Court of General Jurisdiction of
Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Tigran Petrosyan
in 2011 made AMD 61 million 705 thousand 232 and USD 15 thousand.
Financial resources made AMD 8 million and USD 1 thousand in the
beginning of the year and AMD 30 million and USD 10 thousand by the
end of the year. His wife did not have any income. His daughter bought
AUDI Q5 in 2011 with the cost AMD 10 million.
The President of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and
Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Mher Khachatryan
and his wife declared only annual income, formed as a result of
salaries, AMD 10 million 157 thousand 268 and AMD 780 thousand
respectively.

declarations of the presidents of the Courts of General Jurisdiction
of Ajapnyak and Davtashen, Qanaqer-Zeytun, Malatia-Sebastia
administrative districts of Yerevan are not published on the official
webpage of the Ethics Committee of Officials.
