Tigran Sargsyan handed over Mkhitar Gosh Medal to Governor of Massachusetts

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of the Republic of
Armenia Tigran Sargsyan had a meeting with Governor of Massachusetts
Patrick Deval on December 12. The Department of Information and Public
Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia informed
“Armenpress” that the Head of Government handed over Mkhitar Gosh
Medal to Governor of Massachusetts Patrick Deval in the name of the
President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Governor of
Massachusetts for his assistance in erecting a memorial monument in
honor of innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
In turn Governor of Massachusetts Patrick Deval asked to convey his
gratitude to the President of the Republic of Armenia for the medal.
At the course of the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of the
future cooperation.
Among other things Governor of Massachusetts Patrick Deval stated that
he highly appreciates the role and involvement of the Armenian
community in the life of the state. After the meeting Tigran Sargsyan
visited the Park of Armenian Heritage in the city of Boston and placed
flowers at the monument put up in the memory of the innocent victims
of the Armenian Genocide.
