THE GOVERNMENTAL COMMITTEE WILL CARRY OUT THE COSTS OF FLORA MARTIROSYAN’S REPATRIATION AND BURIAL

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of the Republic
of Armenia made a decision regarding the creation of a special
governmental committee for the organization of the civil funerals
and burial of the beloved singer. The committee is headed by the
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Hasmik Poghosyan. In a
conversation with “Armenpress” the Deputy Minister of Culture of the
Republic of Armenia Artur Poghosyan announced that the Government
will carry out all the costs of repatriation and burial of the
beloved singer. The aforesaid committee will convoke a session and
all necessary details regarding the time of repatriation and the
place and time of the burial will be clarified.
People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia Flora Martirosyan
passed away in the United States of America. The cause of death
was the difficulties, which arose after she was operated on for her
gall-bladder. Flora Martirosyan was the founder of the International
Musical School after Komitas, “Artists for Peace” Charity Organization
and the initiator of the cultural movement “Never Again”. Flora
Martirosyan was born in Gyumri on February 5, 1957.
