Expert deems Syrian conflict Turkish domestic problem

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenian political expert believes Syrian conflict
to be sort of a domestic problem in Turkey.
According to Anush Hovhannisyan, Turkish-Syrian hostilities will
further complicate the Kurdish problem.
`Cooperation of Syria’s Kurdish community with Assad forces may affect
the balance of power,’ the expert said.
`First, Ankara’s decision to attack Syria will unite Kurds against
Turkey; second, Turkish population stands against launching offensive
against Syria; and third, Turkish involvement in the issue alone will
bring about major regional problems,’ Ms. Hovhannisyan said, deeming
Turkey’s offensive against Syria possible only in support of NATO
forces.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
