Anca San Gabriel Valley Names Nare Kupelian As Executive Director

ANCA SAN GABRIEL VALLEY NAMES NARE KUPELIAN AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

MONTEBELLO-The Armenian National Committee of America of San Gabriel
Valley is proud to announce the hiring of Nare Kupelian as the region’s
Executive Director. Kupelian will be working from the Montebello
Armenian Center. She will be a representative of the ANC-SGV to the
local elected officials and community organizations.

“For a while now, we have been searching for a candidate with the
background and experience to represent this region” said ANCA-SGV
Chairman Levon Kirakosian. “We are pleased to welcome Nare to the
team and are confident that her work will create a more unified and
effective organization. We hope that our collaborative efforts can
create a strong voice for the San Gabriel Valley.”

“I am very excited to take on this new position at the ANCA San
Gabriel Valley” said Kupelian. “I look forward to working with the
Armenian community in the region to advance their issues of concern
and to build a strong advocacy presence.”

Prior to taking on this position, Kupelian was a Community Relations
Intern at the ANCA-Glendale in 2008 and a Government Relations Intern
at the ANCA-Western Region in 2009. During her time in college, she
was an active member of the ANCA of San Diego County, serving on the
Board as Chair for two years. She has extensive experience in working
with various Armenian and community organizations, both in Glendale
and San Diego.

Kupelian is currently a graduate student in the history department
at UCLA. She graduated from UC San Diego in June of 2012 with a
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History.

The Armenian National Committee of America of San Gabriel Valley is the
local chapter of the largest and most influential Armenian-American
grassroots advocacy organization in the United States. The ANCA-SGV
advances the concerns of the region’s Armenian-American community on
the local, state, and federal level.
