YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. There is a growth of 10% in the
spheres of industry, agriculture and services for the first nine
months of the current year. As the Prime Minister of the Republic of
Armenia Tigran Sargsyan mentioned this during the session on October
25, this means that we will have rather high rate of economic growth.
As reports “Armenpress” the Prime Minister said: “Although we
must consider that we are now facing a new challenge in qualitative
respect.” In his opinion the studies show that in 2013-14 world economy
will appear in a new qualitative state. Tigran Sargsyan said: “Till
now we faced a crisis in the developing countries and deterioration of
the rates of growth in particular, then in this new stage we observe
the fall of rates of economic growth in the developing countries and
this critic situation will continue in 2013 as well.”
The Prime Minister noticed that there is a lack of labour, hence
“we face structural unemployment”, what is strictly evident in the
IT sphere. The Prime Minister said: “The session of the IT Council
was held two days ago and it was declared that there is only one
obstacle in the way of growing development of IT sphere in Armenia
and that is the lack of working resources. This sphere has an annual
growth of 15-20 %, there are 300 enterprises in this realm. We have an
agreement with the Minister of Education and Sciences for multiplying
state order in Higher Educational Institutions, but notwithstanding
we still have a lack of labour.”
