ELMAR MAMMADYAROV RECEIVES MEMBERS OF MEXICAN CONGRESS

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received
Porfirio Munoz Ledo, Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of
Mexican Congress’s Chamber of Deputies.

Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said he was pleased with the current state
of relationship between the two countries and noted the potential to
further expand this cooperation.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also highlighted Azerbaijan’s interest
to cooperate with Mexico and said intensifying mutual visits and
parliamentary contacts would contribute to the strengthening of
overall relationship. Speaking about the conflict between Armenia and
Azerbaijan the Foreign Minister underlined that in order to resolve
the conflict Armenian armed forces should withdraw from occupied
territories of Azerbaijan. Taking the opportunity the Minister
expressed gratitude to the Mexican Senate for adopting a resolution
on the conflict.

In his turn, Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of Mexican
Congress’s Chamber of Deputies Porfirio Munoz Ledo said he was
pleased with his visit to Azerbaijan and thanked the Minister for
warm welcoming. He emphasized that his country is interested to work
with Azerbaijan and indicated the potential to enhance cooperation,
notably economic cooperation, between the two countries. He also
underlined the importance for both countries to collaborate within
international organizations.
