A murderer who kills a sleeping man would hardly be called a
hero in any country where military honor and courage is respected,
Analitika.at.ua Information-Analytical Center Director Marat Hakobyan
told Fraza journal.

In the analyst’s words, justifying of the murderer who killed a
sleeping man is but one link in the overall chain of crimes committed
against the Armenians

“The Azerbaijani authorities state-level Armenian-hatred has become
unmanageable, and not only Armenians suffer from this. It’s funny
when the Azerbaijani society’s severe psychological disorders are
called a “magical attack” by Armenia. So much hatred is accumulated
[in Azerbaijan toward the Armenians] that the consequences of such
policy have begun to be manifested even within Azerbaijan.

The analysts have remarked, on numerous occasions, that the Azerbaijani
state is built on oil and the sticky idea of ‘returning the lost
territories.’ [But] In reality, this is a rich country of poor people;
this is an authoritarian country. Azerbaijan-whose authorities
brag about their richness in energy reserves-cannot surmount its
population’s poverty and the growing emigration,” Marat Hakobyan
noted in particular.

Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier that Ramil Safarov, a lieutenant
in the Azerbaijani military, was extradited on August 31 from Hungary,
where he was serving a life sentence-and with no expression of
either regret or remorse-for the premeditated axe murder of Armenian
lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan, in his sleep, during a NATO Partnership
for Peace program in Budapest back in 2004.

As expected, Ramil Safarov’s return to Baku was welcomed, as was
his act of murder, by the officials of president Ilham Aliyev’s
government and much of Azerbaijani society, and the Azerbaijani
president immediately granted him a pardon.

And Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan announced on August 31 that
Armenia is suspending its diplomatic ties with Hungary.

Ramil Safarov’s pardoning is condemned by virtually all international
organizations.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
