LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR COMPLETES HIS MISSION IN ARMENIA

President Serzh Sargsyan had a farewell meeting with outgoing
Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia Gedrius Apuokas.
Noting that the political dialogue between Armenia and Lithuania has
considerably increased over the past years and the cooperation in
different spheres has risen to a qualitatively new level, president
Sargsyan stressed the great contribution of Ambassador Apuokas to
the process.
The President expressed gratitude to the Ambassador and voiced hope
that his successor would manage to maintain and develop the progress
achieved.
The interlocutors hailed the interest of Lithuanian companies towards
economic programs in Armenia, noting that the intensification of
cooperation in the economic sphere contributes to the reinforcement
of bilateral ties in the field of culture.
President Sargsyan appreciated Lithuania~Rs support to Armenia on
the path of European integration and the exchange of experience on
cooperation with European structures.
The Armenian President and the Lithuanian Ambassador attached
importance to the development of Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation
under the EU Eastern Partnership Program.
