Azerbaijan protests to Tanzania over breakaway Karabakh

Azerbaijan has expressed protest to Tanzania after this African
country included the breakaway Azerbaijani region of Nagornyy Karabakh
on the list of countries requiring a visa to visit, privately-owned
Baku-based agency APA has reported.

Protest notes were issued by Azerbaijan’s embassies in Egypt and the
Republic of South Africa, and also its permanent representative office
at the UN.

Elman Abdullayev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, said
it was a technical mistake by the Tanzanian government which he said
Azerbaijan hoped would soon be corrected, APA said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
