Activists of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc have
conducted their regular protest rally in front of the office of the
prosecutor general, demanding freedom for their convicted friends.

The participants of the rally were calling to set free ANC activists
Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, Sargis Gevorgyan and Davit
Kirimijyan.

The young people have been convicted from 6 to 2 years of imprisonment
for using force against law enforces on August 9, 2011.

Speaking to Tert.am, ANC MP Nikol Pashinyan said the goal of the rally
is to alarm the public.

`No one, irrespective of state, social position is guaranteed from
illegalities. Today many are speaking in Armenia about national
reconciliation, national ideology. In contemporary county the national
reconciliation and ideology fit in the limits of Constitution and
legality. When one sector of the population is being persecuted by
another one, it becomes senseless to speak of national
reconciliation,’ Pashinyan said.

The ANC MP said the rallies are addressed to all as nothing is being
changed in the country. This action is aimed at finding a way out.

Nikol Pashinyan said he is sure each injustice may be solved through
public opinion.

Like during the previous days, this time as well no response came from
the prosecutor general’s office.
