ARMENIAN -BULGARIAN CULTURAL RELATIONS TO BE STRENGTHENED IN SEVERAL SPHERES

YEREVAN, JUNE 14, ARMENPRESS: Armenian-Bulgarian cultural relations
will be strengthened in several spheres during coming years.

The cooperation agreement signed by the Ministries of Cultures of two
countries, hosted in Armenian Ministry of Culture will contribute
to the rebuilt of those ties. The cooperation is scheduled in the
directions of theatre, music, dance, painting, museum and architecture.

As Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan has noted the cultural
relations between the two nations date for centuries, the new signed
document is important for assuring future operations.

“The main activation is registered in the field of book publishing,
steps are taken to boost the cooperation pertaining to various cultural
fields” Hasmik Poghosyan concluded.

Armenian Minister high estimated the publishing of joint collections
during latest times. ” Sasna Tsrer” epic and Hrant Matevosyan works
are translated into Bulgarian.

As Armenpress reports, during the official visit Bulgarian delegation
was headed by Vezhdi Rashidov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of
Bulgaria. For his great contribution to Armenian culture Mr Rashidov
was awarded by golden medal of the Ministry of Armenia. In the words
of the interlocutor he has always been surrounded by Armenian friends,
who have all been talented people.

Armenia -Bulgaria cultural relations have been established in
1994 by the cooperation agreement signed by Armenian and Bulgarian
Governments. Further on cooperation agreements have been signed during
2000-2002, 2007-2009, 2009-2010: a number of cooperation projects
have been launched within the framework of the agreements.
