Armenian museums will again open their doors for the night visitors
on 19 May in the context of the action “Night in museum” within the
frames of which concerts and performances will be performed.

The history and archeology museum “Erebuni” has prepared a surprise
for that day – the visitors will see the ballet, dance and musical
performances. The action “Yerevan – World Book Capital” and the
500th anniversary of the Armenian book printing will be in centre of
attention of the museum of the history of Yerevan, which will exhibit
carpets, silver items and the items of the Armenian ethnic dress. The
young Armenian artist Armine Sarkavakyan will exhibit her pictures.

Armenia officially joined the “Night in museum” in 2005.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
