Armenia’s e-network capacity increased by ten times

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s network capacity has been increased by ten times:
from 1083 Mbit / sec in 2008 to 10547 Mbit / sec, shows a program of
stimulating services of IT-sphere in 2012, confirmed by the government
on Thursday. At the same time, domestic network capacity has been
increased by eight times from 434 Mbit / sec to 3681 Mbit / sec.

Internet availability for Armenia’s population has been increased as
well: from 5% to 44%, report.gov.am reports. Currently there are
380,000 Internet consumers (every third family) in Armenia. Besides,
quality of IT services has been increased as well, over 99% of
consumers get use of broadband Internet.
