Labeling the actions of the police on March 14 in Mashtots Park a
violation of the constitutional rights of the activists assembled
there, the Human Rights and Democracy Institute (HRDI) has rejected a
police invitation to participate in a roundtable meeting scheduled for
later today.

The HRDI says that those responsible for ordering the police to use
force and disperse the activists must be held accountable before it
will take part in any such forum.

The NGO adds that the RA Police must prove that its actions are guided
by the principles of defending the rights and dignity of citizens and
based solely on the RA Constitution.
