Five Armenian representatives win at first round of chess championship in Turkey

Five of Armenia’s six representatives started on a positive note their
competitions at European Women’s Individual Chess Championship, which
got underway in Turkey.

Elina Danielyan, Lilit Lazarian, Lilit Galoyan, and Maria Kursova,
defeated their Serbian, Romanian, and Turkish opponents, respectively,
in Round 1 of the event.

Solely Anna Hayrapetyan was defeated by her challenger from Georgia.

A total of eleven rounds will be played in the Championship.
