YEREVAN. – No movement can be successful unless March 1, 2008, crime
is properly assessed, opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC)
representative Aram Manukyan said on Thursday during the ANC rally.

“This authorities consciously lead Armenia to poverty, raise prices,
cause migration, allows new victims in the army, all in order to
maintain authority,” Manukyan said adding the poverty makes 40%
in the state.

He announced to launch political year from now on, as elections
on May 6 are not just parliamentary but they are the beginning of
presidential ones.

“The one who will support the incumbent President Sargsyan will support
migration, murders in the army and ignoring March 1 murders,” he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
