The intention of the Armenian government to gather additional 101
billion AMD in the state budget must be welcomed, chairman of the
Public Council’s financial-economic and budget commission Vazgen
Safaryan said at the extended sitting today, at the same time pointing
out that it must be done on the account of reduction of shadow economy,
instead of obliging tax payers pay more taxes.

According to him, the sector of investment policy must be increased,
getting 101 billion AMD on the account of development of economy.

Chairman of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan added that
representatives of the ministries of economy and finance should have
been present at the discussion for answering their questions. Today
in the morning Economy Minister Tigran Davtyan offered to postpone
the discussion over the package as it is not complete yet and may
be changed.

Manukyan positively assessed the fact of making changes in the
package and stressed that when amendments are being made in tax
and customs laws at least a year must pass before the changes enter
into circulation.

“When a businessman deals with entrepreneurship he cannot change his
whole business in two months for accommodating to the law,” chairman
of the Public Council said.

The commission decided to make proposals over all the disputable issues
and present to the Ministry of Finance for proposing joint solutions.
