The St. James Armenian Church will host their 64th annual Armenian
food bazaar Oct. 14 and Oct. 15 to raise funds for the church,
according to event organizers.

Over 2,500 people are expected over the two-day period, said event
organizer Natasha Aljalian.

The event will have no admission fee, and will run from 11 a.m. to
8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

“A wide range of Armenian foods, delicacies and pastries are featured,
including some items which are crowd favorites,” Aljalian said.

Some examples include manti, small dumplings with meat inside, and
choereg, an Armenian sweet bread, Aljalian said.

“While the feature of the Bazaar is delicious Armenian food, there
will also be vendors and our new KidZone with a wide array of events
for children,” she said.

The KidZone events will feature a pumpkin patch, photo booth,
carnival games, play space, and karaoke party. There will also be
clown entertainment, face-painting and balloons on Saturday.

A variety of raffles and prizes will also be available to people
attending.

Attendees can park either on the street or in a lot, or can take the
71 bus line.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
