September 24, 2011 | 17:11

YEREVAN. – Turkey always wants to make the normalization of the
relations with Armenia a subject of trade, oppositional Heritage party
MP Stepan Safaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the issue
of calling back the Armenian-Turkish protocols to the Turkish
government.

`Turkey has always made the normalization of the relations with
Armenia a subject of trade. It always expects to be asked for
something and to set conditions in response,’ the MP stated.

Turkey wants to gain benefits from Karabakh issue and uses all its
opportunities to make an influence on the process. Meanwhile, Safaryan
considers it less possible for Turkey to be an OSCE Minsk group
member.

Turkish Board of Ministers called back the Armenian-Turkish protocols,
which were recognized invalid at the end of August.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
