DAVIT KARAPETYAN: ARMENIA HAS NEVER PURCHASED UNNECESSARY WEAPONRY

The acquirement and purchasing of weapons and defense technology
for the needs of the Armenian Armed Forces is being implemented
within the framework of the RA legislation and international norms
and commitments. Stemming from the security interests, quantity of
weaponry, the details about the selling party are not published,
spokesman for the defense minister Davit Karapetyan said commenting
on the information of some mass media as if Armenia has purchased
unnecessary weaponry from Moldova.

“I can only note that since its independence the Republic of Armenia
has never purchased unnecessary weaponry”, he said.
