TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a message to
Serzh Sargsyan extended his congratulations to the Armenian president,
government and nation on the country’s Independence Day.

In his message to his Armenian counterpart, the Iranian president
congratulated Armenia on the 20th anniversary of its independence,
and called for the expansion of relations and cooperation between
Tehran and Yerevan.

“The historical-cultural ties between Iran and Armenia have
prepared extensive opportunities for the reinforcement of bilateral
cooperation,” he said.

Ahmadinejad further voiced confidence that the agreements signed by
Iran and Armenia would pave the way for the expansion of cooperation
between the two countries in bilateral, regional and international
grounds.

To conclude his message, Ahmadinejad wished good health and success
for Sargsyan, and wellbeing and happiness for the Armenian government
and people.
