YEREVAN. – Founder of KOHAR symphony orchestra, philanthropist Harout
Khatchadourian of Lebanon, was awarded at the presidential palace a
“Movses Khorenatsi” medal by President Serzh Sargsyan last Saturday.
He received an award for his decades of continuous and dedicated
contribution to different Armenian communities in safeguarding and
promulgating Armenian music, song, culture.
KOHAR was conceptualized and realized by Harout Khatchadourian,
who founded and has continuously supported and funded the entire
activities of KOHAR since 1997, in memory of his late father Aram
Khatchadourian and as a tribute to his mother Kohar Khatchadourian.
