YEREVAN. – A Won’t Stay Silent youth initiative continues alerting society
about the issues of preservation of Armenian Historical Heritage. The
message of the initiative says:

`It is well known that Georgia makes attempts of claiming 10 Armenian
churches of Chalcedonic times. Georgian officials, media and clergy
recurrently refer to this issue, the making the abandoned state of the
churches a trump card. They have a clear understanding that neither Armenian
Church, nor Ministry of Culture take steps to preserve the monuments and
prove the Georgian side that Armenians are masters of their Chalcedonic
past. Instead, [Armenian] Catholicos Karekin II and secular authorities lay
our history on the mercy of fate, giving our neighbors room for further
debate. Kirants monastery which is an architectural masterpiece of 13th
century is one of the 10 disputed sanctuaries which are totally abandoned.’

The movement calls for sobriety of the Armenian Church and the authorities
of Armenia and asks benefactors to unite for the salvation of the past
