On 9-13 August, in the Norwegian Aura city in the course of the Ski
World Cup FIS, Sergei Mikaelyan (Ashotsk, Armenia) was the best in
free-style at a distance of 17 km. He reached the finish line in 35
minutes 18 seconds and won the Youth World Champion title, and at a
distance of 10.8 km, he came third.
This is the first major victory in the history of skiing in Armenia,
the Ski Federation reports.
