Yerevan/Mediamax/. Norik Sargsyan, the Traffic Police Road Patrol
Service Division Chief of Armenia, said today that 6288 pedestrians
were fined for breaking traffic rules as of August 8, 2011.

During today’s press conference, Norik Sargsyan said that most

the street in the wrong places, Mediamax reports.

He also noted that as of seven months of 2011, 170 drivers were fined
AMD 20 000 for not giving way to pedestrians.

According to this year’s statistics provided by the Road Police,

“As the drivers especially appeal for red- light violation, 10 video
cameras and 15 speedometers will be placed on the capital’s major
crossroads”, said the Traffic Police Road Patrol Service Division
Chief.
