US PRAISES ARMS EXPORT CONTROL REFORMS IN ARMENIA

The Armenian Foreign Ministry hosted today a meeting between
delegations led by the head of the Arms Control and International
Security Department, Samvel Lazarian, and the United States acting
deputy assistant secretary for non-nuclear and counter-proliferation,
Ann Ganzer.
According to a press release by the Ministry, the US delegates
appreciated the export control reforms in Armenia. They also praised
the country’s efforts towards translating the legal procedures into
action. The parties stressed the importance of the current activities
towards the modernization of the northern customs checkpoints.
They also considered possibilities for developing the US-Armenia
collaboration in the above-mentioned spheres.
