AMBASSADOR KOCHARYAN’S MEETINGS IN LEBANON

On July 23 Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan had a
meeting with the Chairman of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Beri.
During the meeting the parties discussed the domestic political
situation in Lebanon, the current state of Armenian-Lebanese relations,
the perspectives of cooperation between the Parliaments of the two
countries.
On July 25 Ashot Kocharyan met with the newly appointed Foreign
Minister of Lebanon, Adnan Mansur. The Ambassador conveyed Armenian
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian’s congratulatory letter on the
occasion of Adnan Mansur appointment.
Ambassador Kocharyan said” Armenia attaches great importance to the
deepening and development of friendly Armenian-Lebanese relations.”
The parties emphasized the importance of reciprocal high-level visits,
cooperation within international organizations, the development of
trade-economic cooperation.
Adnan Mansur hailed the role of the Armenian community in the political
life of Lebanon. During the meeting Ambassador Kocharyan presented
the details of the latest developments in the process of settlement of
the Karabakh issue. Reference was made to a number of regional issues.
