ARMENIA INTERESTED IN SIGNING NEW AGREEMENT ON TRADE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION WITH CHINA

YEREVAN. – Ministry of Economy of Armenia submitted an agreement
on trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and China to the
government’s approval. The previous agreement was signed in 1992 and
did not conform to new requirements.

China is Armenia’s important trade partner, 9-10% of Armenia’s foreign
trade turnover falls to China.

The agreement envisages expansion of trade and economic mutually
beneficial cooperation and diversification in all spheres of common
interest, as well as creation of Armenia-China inter-governmental
commission.
