BAKO SAHAKYAN DONATED THE PORTRAIT OF VACHAGAN BAREPASHT TO ARTSAKH ARTS MUSEUM

(Noyan Tapan – 25.05.2011) On 25 May President of the Artsakh Republic
Bako Sahakyan received philanthropist Armen Davtyan who presented
the President with the portrait of Vachagan Barepasht (the Pious)
by painter Martiros Alagyan.
The Head of the State expressed gratitude to the philanthropist
underlining that the activity of Vachagan Barepasht and his political,
legal and cultural heritage was a pivotal component of the Armenian
statehood and needed much deeper research.
The President also noted that the issue of erecting the monument
of Vachagan Barepasht in Artsakh was being discussed. Bako Sahakyan
donated the portrait of Vachagan Barepasht to Artsakh Arts Museum.
