Armenia’s defense minister meets NATO leadership

Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan paid a visit to the NATO
headquarters on March and held meetings with the NATO leadership and
his Georgian and Polish counterparts.

With the Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalai and the Polish
counterpart B. Klich Seyran Ohanyan discussed issues related to the
development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.

With the NATO leadership Seyran Ohanyan discussed issues related to
the Armenian contingent serving within NATO’s subdivisions.
On the same day the defense ministers of the countries taking part in
NATO’s operations in Afghanistan convened a meeting where Armenia’s
defense minister delivered a speech, expressing optimism related to
NATO’s operations in Afghanistan.

He also highlighted the importance of the continued cooperation of the
48 states that are taking part in the NATO-lead operation in
Afghanistan in an attempt to ensure security there.
