Perched on a hill above the capital city of Yerevan stands a sacred
memorial for Armenians around the world. It’s called the citadel or
fortress of swallows. It’s a place named for the bird that is known
to return to its nest, even after its the nest is destroyed.

The Tzitzernagapert museum and memorial in Yerevan is a metaphor for
those who survived the Armenian Genocide but were dispersed to the
four corners.
