On December 7, President of Nagorno-Karabakh Bako Sahakyan President
accompanied by top officials of the republic visited Stepanakert
memorial complex on the occasion of 22 anniversary of the 1988
disastrous earthquake.
The officials laid a wreath at the monument, NKR presidential press
service informed NEWS.am.
On December 7, Armenia commemorates victims of the 1988 disastrous
earthquake when powerful 10 magnitude shocks destroyed in 30 seconds
nearly all northern part of Armenia covering territory with 1m
population.
According to the official data, over 25,000 people died, 19,000 have
become disabled and another 530, 000 remained unsheltered.
