GAGIK HARUTYUNYAN: OSCE SUMMIT ATMOSPHERE WAS FAVORABLE TO ARMENIA

In general, the atmosphere at OSCE summit in Astana was favorable to
Armenia, with OSCE Minsk Group position on Karabakh conflict proving
the fact, Noravank scientific-educational foundation director Gagik
Harutyunyan. said

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, ~SFinal declaration of Astana
summit contains no mention of Artsakh, which suggests that OSCE
position on the issue remains unchanged, and is more in accordance
with Armenia~Rs interests. The OSCE support was also prompted by
consolidation of Russia~Rs position in the Minsk Group.~T

In reply to PanARMENIAN.Net reporter~Rs question concerning Azerbaijani
President~Rs reluctance to meet his Armenian counterpart at Astana
summit, Harutyunyan noted, ~SThe unwillingness can be explained by
Aliyev~Rs realizing the vulnerability of his political stance.~T

The expert gave high assessment to President Sargsyan~Rs address in
Astana, specifically noting correct accentuation of important points
including destruction of Armenian medieval cemetery in Nakichevan.
