ARMENIA AMONG CIS COUNTRIES FACING HIGHEST YEAR-ON-YEAR INFLATION IN JAN-SEPT 2010

YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. In Jan-Sept 2010, Armenia was among the
CIS countries having the highest year-on-year inflation.
According to the statistical service of the Commonwealth of Independent
States, Armenia faced 7.8% year-on-year inflation in Jan-Sept 2010
as price rise in the CIS countries averaged 7%.
The statistical report states that consumer prices in Armenia went 0.2%
down in September, compared with August.
All the CIS member countries faced inflation in Jan-Sept 2010.
The highest, 9.3% price hike was recorded in Ukraine, Moldova, with
its 7.2% inflation, follows Ukraine.
The CIS statistical service says 7% inflation was recorded in
Kazakhstan, the same inflation rate in Belarus, and 6.4% in Russia.
Consumer prices rose 5.6% in Tajikistan, 5.2% in Azerbaijan and 4.9%
in Kyrgyzstan.
No data on Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are available.
