Armenia Will Produce 55 Percent Of Wheat Demand

ARMENIA WILL PRODUCE 55 PERCENT OF WHEAT DEMAND

Today, the RA Minister of Agriculture Gerasim Alaverdyan, presenting
the program on wheat seed production, noted that in case of
implementation of the program, in 2014, it will possible to produce
340-360 thousand tons of wheat in Armenia. According to the minister,
in 2014, Armenia will be producing the 55 percent of wheat demand,
instead of the current 37.

Currently, 650-720 thousand tons of wheat is being consumed annually
in Armenia.
