Armenia’s government approved Thursday an appointment of Ashot
Gizirian as a Governor of Shirak Region of Armenia. By Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan’s decree, signed on May 19, Ashot Gizirian
was released from the post of the Chief of the Criminal Executive
Department of Armenia’s Ministry of Justice.
Ashot Gizirian’s appointment followed the resignation of the former
Shirak Governor Mrs Lida Naniyan, who had stepped down earlier.
