ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPERS AWARDED

YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS: Twenty servicemen of the Armenian
peacekeeping unit participating in the activities of the International
Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan have been awarded the other
day with medals and certificates of honor by the German board of the
"North" regional command.

Press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry told Armenpress that
the award-giving ceremony of the Armenian peacekeepers who have been
singled out in the implementation of the peacekeeping mission by a
special diligence, was held in the neighborhood of Kunduz airport in
front of an Armenian chapel built by them.
