CHESS: SEVAG MEKHITARIAN TAKES SECOND PRIZE

Armenian IM Krikor-Sevag Mekhitarian (Brazil) scored 7 points out of
9 and took the second prize in the open which was held in Balagne,
France. According to the Armenian Chess Federation, Mekhitarian was
only half a point behind the winner, GM Azer Mirzoev (Azerbaijan). 102
chess players took part in the tournament.
