GRAND MASTER ARONIAN WON’T GO TO BAKU

Armenia’s Grand Master Levon Aronian said that he had never agreed and
would never agree to participate in the Candidates chess tournament
in Baku.
The statement was made after FIDE president Kirsan Ilyumzhinov had said
in his interview that he doesn’t exclude Levon Aronian’s participation
in the Candidates tournament in Azerbaijani capital.
Responding to this, Armenian Chess Federation has written to Kirsan
Ilyumzhinov, FIDE Board, and to leading sport media, including
Sport-Express paper.
