ARMENIANS NOT INJURED IN KYRGYZ RIOTS

Armenians were not injured in mass unrest in Kyrgyzstan. According to
preliminary data, there are no Armenians among injured as a result of
political clashes in Kyrgyzstan, RA Foreign Ministry informed NEWS.am.

Armenian community is estimated at about one thousand people (mainly
in Bishkek).

Acting Kyrgyz Interior Minister Bolot Sherniyazov stated that over 80
people died and 1600 injured in mass riots in Kyrgyzstan on April 6-8.

April 19, about thousand people with armed sticks and torches entered
Bishkek and attempted to capture houses of Russian-speaking citizens.

Reportedly, seizure of land and property in Bishkek suburbs is
accompanied by anti-Russian slogans.
