ArmInfo. In their statement Mar 29 the Armenians of Turkey slated
the declaration made by Bedros Sirinoglu, President of the Board of
Trustees of Sourp Prkich Hospital (Istanbul), after his meeting with
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan.

The authors of the statement say that they do not agree with
Sirinoglu’s opinion that the Armenians living in Turkey feel themselves
secure. "In any case we live in another Turkey. Perhaps, he feels
himself secure but this is not the case with the other Armenians living
in Turkey. In this country Armenians suffer from discrimination and
are used as a small coin in Ankara’s international relations.

Anti-Armenian moods are still widespread in Turkish society," says
the authors of the statement.

They do not agree with Sirinoglu’s opinion that "there is no need to
call the events of 1915 genocide" and strongly condemn Sirinoglu’s
attempts to disguise this crime against humanity.

The statement also mentions Erdogan’s words concerning illegal Armenian
migrants in Turkey. "Threats to expel migrants struggling for existence
are immoral," say the authors of the statement.

The full text of the statement can be found at
bizbaskabirturkiyedeyasiyoruz.blogspot.com, where the authors are
collecting signatures. All Turkish citizens of Armenian origin can

among them widow of Hrant Dink Rahil Dink.
