"SHUSHI: REMEMBERING THE PAST, TO DREAM OF THE FUTURE" EVENT HELD IN WASHINGTON

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On March 18 the Armenian Embassy in Washington
under the auspices of the East Coast office of all-Armenian Fund
Hayastan organized an event "hushi: remembering the past, to dream
of the future".
The event was attended by the vice president of the Lincy Foundation
Harut Sassounian, as well as representatives of Armenian organizations
of the United States and the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Tatul Margaryan delivered a speech,
particularly stressing that over the past 17 years the fund has played
a crucial not only materially but also morally.
Then, Fund Executive Director Irina Lazaryan familiarized participants
with the activities and programs in educational, health and
agricultural spheres, as well as the rehabilitation program of Shushi.
A short film dedicated to the needs and life conditions in Shushi
was screened, press office of MFA reported. .
