Turkey’s FM Ahmet Davutoglu voiced hope the US House Foreign Relations
Committee will not pass the Armenian Genocide Resolution at a meeting
with reporters, CnnTurk says.

Referring to Ankara’s disposition in case the House Committee approves
the Resolution, Davutoglu recalled the intensive efforts of the Turkish
delegations in Washington over preventing the adoption and said:

"We expect the US Administration to send an appropriate "message". But
providing the House Committee passes the Resolution, we will have to
continue efforts towards preventing the vote on the Resolution in the
Congress. Hopefully, the Committee members will not make a mistake."

Davutoglu once again reaffirmed that the adoption of the Resolution by
the US legislative body will harm the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation
process.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
